Founded in 1982, Yuncheng Stomatological Hospital is a public stomatological specialized hospital integrating medical treatment, illness prevention, teaching, and scientific research. Since last year, Yuncheng Stomatological Hospital has actively implemented the municipal party committee’s directive spirit of “building the brand of medical specialty”, and has done a great deal of work in advanced equipment introduction, personnel training, technology introduction and scientific research with an investment not lower than the growth of the hospital’s total income. It is worth mentioning that the hospital has flexibly introduced Professor Liu Yang’s temporomandibular joint disease expert team from Stomatology School of Sichuan University according to Yuncheng City’s regulations on the introduction of high-level talents. The expert team systematically conducted clinical professional training for specialized personnel. The hospital took the lead in opening the “Digital Specialist for Diagnosis and Treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Disease and Occlusal Reconstruction”, becoming the only temporomandibular joint clinic in the Yellow River Golden Triangle region, filling the technical gap in the region.
Temporomandibular joint is the only left-right bilateral linkage joint in maxillofacial region, which is the joint with the most complicated structure and function. The disease has a high prevalence rate; there are many causes of disease and a large demand for treatment, but there are few professionals. In order to alleviate the serious imbalance, with the technical assistance of Professor Liu Yang’s TMJ expert team, the hospital has gradually carried out the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ, occlusal reconstruction treatment, orthodontic treatment of joint diseases, restoration and retreatment of orthodontic failure cases, as well as the processing projects matching the above diagnosis and treatment.
